Namibia\u2019s High Court ruled that Mines Minister Tom Alweendo exceeded his authority in unilaterally cancelling Chinese firm Xinfeng\u2019s lithium mining license in April. The Minister, alleging irregularities in the licence application process, revoked the licence and demanded the company cease operation by 31 May. Xinfeng retorted by challenging this decision in Namibia\u2019s High Court, arguing that the minister is required to apply to the court for granting appropriate relief.<\/p>\n\n
