Rio Tinto’s share price rises more than two-thirds over the past 12-month period despite its various challenges of 2020. Both strong iron ore and copper prices continue to propel the group’s earnings higher, with a new record price hit. Aluminium boss Alf Barrios, who was promoted to chief commercial officer following new boss Jakob Stausholm’s arrival, sold £4.9m in Rio shares last week. Rio refused to comment on the sale.
