Chinese polysilicon producer, Xinte, has announced plans to build a 100,000 t/yr plant in Baotou city in Inner Mongolia at a cost of US$1.35 billion. The project is expected to take around 1.5 years, however the launch date remains undisclosed. The plant will produce electronics grade polysilicon and certain by-products.
