Rio Tinto’s COVID-19 vaccination plan
Rio Tinto is set to partner with the Western Australia Government to establish a COVID-19 vaccination program which is aimed at targeting the communities in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. This is program is said to be an industry first. Rio Tinto will initially install vaccination hubs in Pilbara and at a trial clinic at the Perth airport with modifications being made to Rio Tinto’s screening facilities at the Perth Airport to include ‘pop-up’ vaccination hubs which will target workers who are returning to Perth.
